2024 Girl of the Year
Our 2024 TCM Girl of the Year, Sophie Cruze, is the 20-year-old daughter of Tammy & Stacy. Originally from Gretna, Sophie has just embarked on Miami for cosmetology school, with a focus on theatrical makeup. Sophie loves gardening, traveling, snuggling with her cat, Mittens, and of course pageants. Sophie has been part of the TCM family for eight years and has traveled the country competing in various systems: Teen Earth USA, Princess of America, United World, ANTSO, America's Majestic Miss, International Miss, High School America, Miss America's Outstanding Teen program, and more! In April 2023, Sophie traveled to Chicago to compete in the teen division at Outstanding American Miss. She won the National Modeling title for the Sr. Division AND her first national title: Outstanding American Miss National Teen! The following month, she traveled to Denver to compete in International Miss taking home 2RU!
We are so proud of Sophie's journey and excited to name her Girl of the Year! She receives a $500 cash scholarship for school, a subscription to Pageantry Magazine, TCM apparel, luggage and various travel bags, TCM personalized stationery, pens, and notepads. She also received the official TCM custom crown and crown pin along with the sponsored TCM Girl of the Year sash and sash bag, compliments of Jamie Hinson with SisterQueens. Raising Cane's also donated a gift basket full of goodies, gift cards, and Raising Cane's swag for her efforts in volunteerism throughout her community.
Sophie's personal platform is The Ripple Effect where she inspires others to do random acts of kindness to spread positivity. She has also volunteered with Grace at the Green Light, glass recycling projects of New Orleans, food banks and pantries, CAAWS Krewe of Mutts parade, St. Jude's, and so much more. She has volunteered thousands of hours of service over the years and still has much more planned.
In April 2024, Sophie crowned her successor at Oustanding American Miss and we anxiously await her return to the pageant stage! Congratulations, Sophie!

2019 Girl of the Year
From eleven Girls of the Month, down to one - Sydni Terradot was named 2019 The Crowning Moment's - Girl of the Year! The TCM Girls of the Month were selected in 2018 for their achievements, volunteerism, and academic excellence. The candidates had to submit volunteerism hours, resume, create a video commercial and a video essay. Two panel of judges evaluated and scored each candidate, ultimately naming the winner.
Sydni, 18 years old, graduated from New Iberia Catholic High. She has an adorable puppy named Ollie and one brother & one sister. She is a model for local boutiques and will walk the runway again in New York at Fashion Week in September. Sydni has appeared on episodes of "Queen Sugar" on OWN. She ran track, was a cheerleader, and volunteers promoting her personal platform: Breast Cancer Awareness and her Think Global, Act Local project. She placed top 15 at Miss Teen America 2018, earned 2RU at Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2018, and ended 2018 with her first national title, America's Majestic Miss National Teen. In June, Sydni represented Louisiana in the Miss Teen Earth USA pageant, where she won High Point Swimsuit and the national title of 2019 Teen Miss Earth USA.

Most recently, Sydni modeled at Atlanta Market in Georiga to model for Pixton Swimwear. She also co-hosted the Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Mrs Earth USA pageant in Washington D.C. In November, Sydni traveled to London to represent USA in Miss Faces of the World. Sydni won the international title of Teen Miss Faces of the World. In 2020, she will also travel to Puerto Rico for a mission trip with Beauty Beyond Borders.

2018 Girl of the Year
In January, Gabriela Gonzales was named 2018 The Crowning Moment's - Girl of the Year! Nine Girls of the Month were selected in 2017 for their achievements, volunteerism, and academic excellence. A distinguished panel selected the Top 3, all of which had to undergo one final interview.
Gabriela is ten years old from Denver, Colorado. She is an international award-winning Salsa dancer with her dance studio: Colorado New Style. She is also a lacrosse player, bilingual, and volunteers with the Special Olympics.
Gabriela is no stranger to the pageant stage having competed since she was young. Since then, she has earned 1RU at International Jr Miss and USA National Miss, both in the princess division. In 2013, Gabriela claimed her first international title, and there is no doubt that soon she will claim her next!

2017 Girl of the Year
On January 13, Natalie Reed was announced as the 2017 TCM Girl of the Year. Natalie is the 9 year old daughter of Aaron & Amanda Reed of Moreauville, LA. She is a fourth-grader attending Sacred Heart School. Natalie enjoys gymnastics, cheering, competing in pageants, and promoting her personal platform: Autism Awareness. Natalie’s older brother is autistic, and along with her mother, she travels across the state to raise funds and awareness on autism. Over the past year, she volunteered nearly 400 hours. Natalie reigned as International Jr Miss, Miss Louisiana Princess and placed top 15 (out of 65 contestants) at the International Jr Miss Scholarship competition in July 2016 on her first attempt. As TCM Girl of the Year, Natalie will be awarded a cash scholarship, year supply of gifts from including Pageantry Magazine, Neuro, photo sessions with Photo-Bella, and a variety of other gifts. She even wins a trip to Disney World! She will also travel across the country promoting volunteerism, being a role model and good will ambassador, while also promoting excellence. The Crowning Moment shows first hand that it’s more important to wear their crowns on their hearts by serving others.

2016 Girl of the Year
2016 became a year of "first's" and it began with the first ever The Crowning Moment's - Girl of the Year. In 2014, TCM began selecting Girls of the Month based on personal achievements, pageant accomplishments, and volunteerism. The Girls of the Month had to submit an essay based on volunteerism and why they deserved the honor and a separate panel of judges selected a Top 5. From the top five, 15 year old, McKenzie Nassar was selected as the first Girl of the Year.
McKenzie became a role model for her TCM sisters and young people everywhere. Her peers began to list her as their personal role models. Her personal platform, at the time, was "Helping Our Veterans." Presently, she has volunteered with a plethora of organizations and volunteered over 2,300 hours.
